We keep you and your interior cool

The sun in Bakersfield has no mercy. Left unprotected, the interior surfaces of your car—the dash, leather, fabrics and plastics—can deteriorate and discolor from relentless exposure to the sun’s heat and UV rays.

And anyone who drives in the heat of the summer knows how unpleasant—or even impossible—it can be to get inside a car that has been sitting in the sun. It’s like sitting down inside an oven.

Whether driving alone or car-pooling, window film helps maintain a cooler cabin temperature on sunny days. This is especially important for parents transporting small children and infants.

Window film is very much like wearing SPF sunscreen. It provides a protective barrier between you and the harmful effects that UVA and UVB radiation can have on your eyes and skin.

Vehicles today are commonly installed with laminated safety glass, but a quality window film helps hold together shattered windows caused by collisions or flying objects.

The ability to see road hazards is vitally important when operating a motor vehicle. A low sun, snow, reflective buildings and oncoming headlights can severely restrict your field of vision. Window tinting greatly enhances visibility by reducing glare or eliminating it altogether.

Tinted glass obscures the contents of your parked vehicle’s interior from the eyes of strangers. While darkened windows provide no guarantee they do deter potential break-ins.

Continued exposure to direct sunlight damages the interior of your vehicle. Vinyl can eventually crack or fade. Fabric upholstery will discolor and leather will dry split. Window film can prevent these conditions from reducing the market value of your vehicle.

We live in an increasingly transparent world. Window tinting can provide a beautiful screen from the eyes of the car next to you.

At Solar Solutions all of our car tinting is legal in the state of California. You won’t have to worry about getting pulled over or having to remove it later on.

Sometimes it’s not about functionality. Adding just the right amount of window tint can create a custom, cool look for your car, truck or SUV.

What price would you pay for all of these benefits? It’s not as much as you think. Call us today and let us give you an estimate on how you can have your car windows professionally tinted.

Is it legal to tint your front windows?

Technically it is illegal to tint anything over a 70% “Vlt” visible light transmittance. We now offer a ceramic film called wincos. The ceramic film will block out up to 200 more btu’s then your average film. It can also be used on your front windshield for more overall heat protection.

What’s the difference between entry level film, mid-grade film or ceramic film?

The difference between the three films is quality. Our entry level film is a standard film backed with a lifetime warranty, but a limited fade warranty. It is offered in all four shades. Our mid grade line is called madico, we are the only shop in Bakersfield that carries this product. Madico comes with a full lifetime warranty that it will never bubble, peel, or fade, and also comes in the standard shades. The ceramic film is a high performance film and is called wincos. This film specializes in heat rejecting and is offered in a legal tint for front doors and windshields.
