America’s Fuel Prices are High and Getting Higher. Here are just a few things you can do yourself to save serious gas money:
Tire Pressure – Underinflated tires may cause your car to burn up to 6% more fuel. Buy a tire gauge and blow ’em up!
Air Filter – A clogged air filter can cause up to a 10% increase in fuel consumption. Check and replace regularly. Ask us for help.
Ignition – Studies show that a poorly tuned engine can waste 20% of your fuel! Ask us how to check and replace spark plugs, wires, caps, rotors, electronic ignition modules, and oxygen sensors.
Oil – Changing your engine oil every 3000 miles not only improves fuel economy, it increases the life of your car’s engine. Ask us about new synthetic motor oils that further reduce friction and wear.
Brakes – If your brakes are sticking, rubbing, or out of adjustment, it’s costing you gas. Ask our ASE certified technicians to help you do your own brake job. We also turn drums and rotors at most locations.
Fuel Additives – Ask us about chemical products that pour directly into your fuel tank to help clean fuel injectors and remove dirt and carbon deposits from the system.
Locking Gas Cap – Unfortunately, the more something costs, the more likely it is to be stolen. Don’t be a victim!
