Ever wonder what happens to property seized by police, voluntarily surrendered at airports or no longer needed by government agencies? They become surplus! The Michigan Department of Technology, Management Budget is charged with collecting these items and making them available to the public for purchase.
The State of Michigan s MiStore will be open to the public on Saturday, Dec.12, 2015 from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. It is located at 3111 West St. Joseph Street, Lansing, 48917. MiStore has a vast inventory of surplus items coming from property seized by police, items voluntarily surrendered at airports, surplus property from local public colleges and property no longer needed by government agencies. Items available through the store include computers, cameras, phone and computer accessories, various knives, wine keys, sporting goods, musical equipment, tools, automotive equipment, desks, file cabinets, chairs, book shelves, jewelry and other fashion accessories.
