“ Very generous compensation & good opportunities ”

I have been working at RockAuto full-time

-Intelligent and fun colleagues (most in their 20s and 30s) -Relatively flexible scheduling -Up to 12 weeks vacation/year, 2.5 weeks paid -No dress code -Excellent hourly base pay -Generous bonuses several times a year -Fun atmosphere – potlucks, team outings, catered lunches on occasion, all birthdays are celebrated with treats, optional seasonal events (holiday party, secret santa, company outings, etc). -Good performance is rewarded (if there is data to back it up) -Opportunities for personal and career growth -Opportunities to work overtime (but almost never mandatory) -You never take your work home -Opportunities to have one or two 4-day weekends almost every month -Open office atmosphere – windows everywhere and no cubicles -Independent work environment – hardly any micromanagement compared to other companies

-No funeral/bereavement leave (you're expected to use paid vacation time or unpaid vacation time if you notify them in advance) -Lack of truly anonymous peer reviews and feedback -Your focus time schedule (scheduling of tasks throughout the day) frequently changes which can make the day more stressful and projects more difficult to complete -Customer service is currently understaffed which has led to more stressful task scheduling throughout the day -Despite generally good communication of what expectations are, explanations of how to meet/exceed expectations can sometimes be lacking -Lack of brainstorming sessions and verbal discussion of ideas — most communication is through e-mail -Some performance metrics are out of your control at times (they can be highly dependent on the supplier you are assigned, which you have little to no control over) -Although new ideas and change are welcome, the process involved with getting an idea implemented is sometimes unncessarily arduous -Although compensation makes up for lack of benefits, no company-sponsored retirement plan is offered which is burdensome to employees
