Former students requesting transcripts or letter of graduations, may come to do either of the following:
Mail the request stating the name (maiden name while attending school), date you graduated, date of birth, telephone where they may be reached if any questions, and the name and address of where the official transcript or letter of graduation needs to be mailed.
Personally come to the guidance office on Monday to Friday from 9:00AM – 12:00PM.
Official transcript can only be mailed to institutions (universities, employments, etc) or picked up by the person requesting. Transcripts cannot be released to other people on your behalf.
Cash or Money Order of $5.00 will be accepted per transaction for each method.
News and Announcements
The first full day of instruction for the 2017-2018 school year is Thursday, September 7, 2017. All students will receive a mailing over the summer with a schedule to pick up their program cards on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Please look for this mailing during August.
All students were assigned a summer assignment that must be completed by the start of the school year. The assignment was given to the students in June and will also be available on the summer assignment page.
Summer School 2017 will be held beginning Wednesday, July 5 th. and classes will conclude on Tuesday, August 15 th. 2017. Summer School is held Monday through Friday. Each class is 90 minutes long.
Fall 2017 Semester
Welcome to the Fall 2017 semester at Thomas Edison High School. As always, Thomas Edison High School students always strive for excellence. Therefore, it is imperative to begin the semester immediately in order to achieve success. All students are to report on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 to receive their program cards. The first full day of instruction will be on Thursday, September 7, 2017.

The Edison Light is an online newspaper maintained by the Journalism students. It was awarded the Best Online Newspaper at the Adelphi University Press Day. Journalism student Alexandria Ganesh recieved an honorable mention for her feautured article on the website.

Sloan Award Recipient, Dr. Savitzky
Dr. Margaret Savitzky, a CTE teacher for 14 1/2 years, was one of seven educators from schools citywide honored with the 2016 Sloan Award for Excellence in Teaching Science and Mathematics.
